Og 2009 |
| Bottles produced - 276 - 750ml |
| Og was the gigantic biblical king of the Bashan. This wine, made on the same lands the giant once ruled, reflects both the heavy and crude character of the ancient volcanic plateau soil and the physical size and manner of the mythological king. Og is made from grapes grown in the estate vineyard using spontaneous fermentation and pigeage in open-top containers followed by aging in old French-oak barrels. |

Touriga Nacional 2009 |
Alcohol by volume - 18% Bottles produced - 485 - 750ml |
| This sweet fortified wine is made entirely of Touriga Nacional. This famous Portuguese variety was especially imported and planted by Chateau Golan in an effort to discover a wine that will best express the soil and climate of the southern Golan. The wine is made following the traditional methods of the Duoro valley: Initially, the grapes are foot-trodden, and then, following a short spontaneous fermentation, they are basket-pressed and fortified with a 79% Brandy which is imported especially by Chateau Golan from Cognac Ferrand in France. The sweet fortified wine is then aged in 400L barrels for a year and a half before being bottled. |
